Description

Biphasic, synthetic bone replacement material

CompactBone S. is an advanced, reliable and fully synthetic bone regeneration material. CompactBone S. has a controlled resorption profile and excellent application properties. The synthesis-based, absolutely homogeneous composition of 60% slowly resorbing hydroxyapatite and 40% beta-tricalcium phosphate (ß-TCP) results in two different mineral activity phases: CompactBone S. supports new bone formation and at the same time maintains volume and mechanical stability.

The osteoconductivity of CompactBone S. is achieved through an optimized matrix design of interconnecting pores up to 85%iger porosity and pore sizes of 200 to 800μm. The macroporosity of CompactBone® S. ensures ideal osteogenetic cell growth and promotes maximum regeneration of vital bone. The microporosity ensures targeted penetration of blood, proteins and stem cells.

Characteristics:

  • 100% synthetic, 60% HA / 40% ß-TCP
  • Mechanical and volume stability
  • First phase of controlled resorption supports new bone formation (ß-TCP)
  • Second phase to support volume stability during remodeling (HA)
  • Very high interconnecting porosity, macropores 200 - 800μm, micropores 1-10μm
  • Osteoconductive properties
  • Safe, reliable, sterile and easy to handle
  • Hydrophilic surface, optimal cell and blood adhesion

Indications:

  • Horizontal/vertical augmentation
  • Preservation of the alveolar ridge
  • Extraction socket
  • Intraosseous defect
  • Furcation defect (Class I-II)
  • Fenestration defect
  • Sinus lift
