BoneProtect^® membrane⁺ is a resorbable dental membrane developed for guided bone regeneration (GBR). It is made of purified collagen processed without artificial cross-linking or chemical treatment.

The membrane is characterised by its high tensile strength, which increases mechanical stability during surgical procedures. Its excellent dimensional stability and flexibility are achieved through rapid hydration upon contact with physiological fluids, which enables precise adaptation to the surface contours of the defect area.

BoneProtect^® membrane⁺ acts as a resorbable barrier that ensures a stable space-maintaining effect over a prolonged period. The material undergoes biodegradation and is typically completely resorbed within 24 weeks of implantation.

The microstructured surface of the BoneProtect^® membrane⁺ exhibits a high porosity and an increased specific surface area. These properties promote optimal vascularisation and support the integration of blood components, which is essential for osteogenesis and soft tissue regeneration.
