BoneProtect® Cone
Alveolar cones made from natural collagen
BoneProtect® Cone is a wet-stable hemostatic cone made of native collagen and at the same time a soft, malleable, absorbable wound closure for daily use in dental surgery during tooth extractions. Healing of an extraction socket after tooth extraction is initiated by a blood coagulum, followed by the invasion of fibroblasts to replace the blood coagulum and the formation of a temporary matrix that promotes the formation of new bone1.
Due to the sponge-like structure of the cone, the application of the BoneProtect® Cone can be made quickly and easily. BoneProtect® Cone preserves the structure after insertion into the defect.
Characteristics
– Absorption time approximately 2 to 4 weeks
– Highly effective local hemostatic agent to stabilize the blood coagulum
– Absorbable through rapid degradation due to enzymatic reactions
– Controlled wound healing process
– 3D matrix to promote tissue growth
– Stable in contact with blood and during use, good handling
Indications
– Extraction socket
– Internal sinus lift
– Biopsy sampling site
– Stops and controls blood clotting
– Minor oral wounds
