Natural collagen fleece BoneProtect^® Fleece is a stable hemostatic agent made from native porcine collagen. The hemotypic effect of collagen is known and researched. It is based on the adhesion of blood platelets to the collagen fibrils. As a consequence, blood platelets aggregate and coagulation factors are released. This starts the coagulation cascade and thus hemostasis. BoneProtect^® Fleece provides a 2-4 week barrier function.
